What Jesus Did For You!
What a moment! This is without a doubt the most important thing you will ever read...the story of what Jesus Christ did for you. The Bible records what Jesus said about Himself, "
JOHN 10:7 | Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. 8 All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.
THIS MEANS THERE HAVE BEEN MANY CLAIMS AS A WAY TO GOD, BUT THERE IS ONLY ONE...BELIEF IN JESUS, THE ONLY ONLY WHO ACTUALLY GAVE HIS LIFE FOR MAN.
After His death, resurrection, and ascension, it was recorded by Paul, His faithful Apostle,
ROMANS 5:6 | You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
9 Since we have now been justified by his blood, how much more shall we be saved from God’s wrath through him! 10 For if, while we were God’s enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life! 11 Not only is this so, but we also boast in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have now received reconciliation.
WHAT THIS MEANS IS THAT YOU WERE POWERLESS BECAUSE OF SIN IN YOUR LIFE. SECOND, GOD ALLOWED SIN TO REACH AN ALL-TIME HIGH, SO THAT ALL SIN WOULD BE COVERED IN JESUS' SACRIFICE...AND THEN HE CAME AND GAVE HIS LIFE FOR YOU!
Therefore, you now have the opportunity to freely receive what He died for you to have....ETERNAL LIFE! THIS is how you receive it...
ROMANS 10:9 | If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.”
READY TO BE SAVED?
Here is a way to say all of what you just read in a simple prayer form. Lift you hands to heaven and say this out loud...
Prayer of Salvation!
Heavenly Father, I understand that I was born into sin without a relationship with you. I acknowledge that this truth made me a sinner before I ever learned to sin. But today I confess this reality, and I choose to give my life to Jesus as my personal Savior. I believe He gave His life in substitute of mine, and His death gives me a new life. So I confess with my mouth that Jesus is Lord, and I believe in my heart that You raised Him from the dead. And because of my belief and confession, I receive my Salvation. I am now a Child of God! I am SAVED!!
Already a Believer?
If you are already a believer but have, in a sense, walked away from your relationship with the Lord, here is a simple prayer to help guide you as you seek to renew your relationship with Him. Lift your hands to heaven and say,
Prayer of Rededication!
Lord, I repent of the lifestyle I have lived while confessing to be a Christian. I have lived below your standard of Godly life. I have trusted in my own self instead of your Spirit, and I have fallen into a backslidden condition. Today I turn! I repent of my lifestyle. I lay it down and take up the newness of Christ back into my life. I ask for your forgiveness, your grace, and your restoration. I receive it now in Jesus Name, Amen.
